We are thrilled to announce that the 18^th PEACe Conference will take place in Potsdam, Germany in 2027 at the Kongresshotel Potsdam from September 19 to 23, 2027. Please mark your calendars.

We look forward to seeing you in Potsdam (close to Berlin)! Together, let’s discuss new results and findings and shape the future of protein expression in animal cells. 

About the PEACe Conference

The first scientific recombinant protein expression workshop that eventually gave birth to the PEACe conference was held in 1992 and created a before-then inexistent space for researchers from academia, industry and governing bodies with an interest in the field to meet. Since then, 17 meetings have been held biennially around the world. 

The 18th PEACe conference aims to continue this 34-year-old tradition of gathering academic and industry scientists and students in a collegial environment to promote knowledge exchange on the latest developments related to recombinant protein expression in animal cells.

Potsdam and PEACe - history and future 
In 1945 the Potsdam Conference was a pivotal post-WWII summit at the Cecilienhof Palace, where the Allied leaders decided on the administration of occupied Germany, the reorganization of European borders, and the "five Ds" to ensure peace. The palaces and parcs of Potsdam, most notably Sanssoucci (« without worries »), are a UNESCO World Heritage since 1990 and showcase a beautiful landscape with many lakes next to the vibrant capital Berlin. With the Dutch Quarter the largest Dutch-style, closed architectural ensemble outside the Netherlands can be visited. Here, cafés, restaurants and galleries deliver a great spot to relax and enjoy international food. The Kongresshotel Potsdam is located directly next to one of the lakes (Templiner See) and reflects the landscape scenario.
