Photonics North 2026

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to attend the 2026 Photonics North Conference, which will take place at the Quebec City Convention Centre (Canada) from June 2 to 5, 2026.

Our internationally recognized annual event aims to strengthen the link between theory and application, and to foster closer collaboration between academic research and industry needs. We welcome leading researchers to share their latest findings, industry exhibitors to present their innovative products and services, and students who have chosen photonics as their career path. Photonics North offers an excellent opportunity to network with key players in the photonics community.

Artificial intelligence (AI) presents unprecedented and wide-ranging opportunities to boost productivity and economic development.  Photonics commercialization and production have benefited from the application of AI; meanwhile photonics innovations are also contributing to the advancement of AI.  The theme of the 2026 event will be AI in Photonics.  There will be a multiple of special sessions and programs dedicated to this topic.

At the same time, the 2026 event will continue to have all 9 technical tracks covering the full spectrum of photonics.  We will continue hosting our high profile plenary speakers to share their vision and offering top quality tutorial sessions to provide more insights in selected topics.

We plan to boost industry-focused events and showcase the photonics technology innovators and entrepreneurs.  Our exhibition provides an ideal opportunity for companies and organizations to demonstrate their products and capabilities, connect with clients, engage with end users, and meet potential future employees.

Finally, we wish to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Jinyang Liang and Dr. Antonio Calà Lesina for their commitment as Program Co-Chairs of the 2026 conference.  We would also like to thank all of our track co-chairs, partners, supporters, and many dedicated volunteers.

We look forward to welcoming you to Quebec City!
