Gairdner/PROTEO International Symposium 2026
Welcome to the 25th edition of our annual symposium!
In collaboration with the Gairdner Foundation, the Quebec Network Research on Protein Function, Engineering and Applications (PROTEO) invites you to its 25th annual symposium, which will take place from Wednesday, May 20 to Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Théâtre de la Cité Universitaire (TCU), Palasis-Prince Pavilion, Université Laval, in Québec City.
The theme of the symposium will be Protein Innovations in Biomedical Sciences.
To mark this 25th anniversary, a special partnership with the Gairdner Foundation will allow us to host 14 internationally renowned scientists, including Dr. Paul Negulescu (2025 Gairdner Award), Dr. Ruedi Aebersold (2024 Heineken Prize), and Dr. Jeffery Kelly (2023 Wolf Prize and 2022 Breakthrough Prize).
This symposium will be a unique opportunity to attend high-quality scientific presentations highlighting the diversity of expertise and research themes pursued by internationally recognized researchers, including more than 10 PROTEO investigators.
As space is limited, we encourage you to register early. Registration deadline: March 2, 2026.
Registration is free for members of the academic scientific community interested in protein research. Registration includes access to all scientific sessions, lunches, and participation in the symposium’s opening cocktail.
We look forward to welcoming you!
The Organizing Committee (Nicolas Bisson, Gregory De Crescenzo, Sabine Elowe, Steve Jean, Jean-Yves Masson, Sylvain Moineau, and Marylou Meyer)
For PROTEO members*
