The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) invites you to submit a proposal to speak at the upcoming, 2027 Product Safety & Compliance Seminar.
 

Note: please review the important information below before you fill out the proposal form under the submission tab found in the top left corner of this page.

Rules, Details, and Information about Speaking Roles

AAFA does not pay for speakers, including travel, lodging, or per diem. Do not submit a proposal if you are seeking to be paid.
 

• If you are a service provider or supplier to the apparel & footwear industry, your company must be a member of AAFA to be considered for a speaking role.

• Speaking roles are extremely limited. AAFA typically receives many more proposals than we have session slots, and we routinely decline strong, well-qualified proposals simply because we cannot fit them into the agenda or because several submissions cover the same topic. A decision not to select your proposal is not a judgment on your expertise or your company. Because of the volume we receive, we are not able to provide individual feedback on proposals that are not selected. Submitters who are not selected are encouraged to submit again for future AAFA events.

• Speaking roles are educational only, any sales pitches, commercial, and/or promotional content will immediately be rejected. Speaking roles are intended for thought leadership only. 

• Each idea/topic requires a unique submission. You can submit multiple proposals.

• Speakers/topics may be merged with other ideas/speakers, we do not guarantee that, if selected, your topic will be a standalone presentation.

• Submissions for events that are outside the scope of the event will not be considered.

• Suggested proposal topics for the conference include but are not limited to:

  • Regulatory Compliance

  • Chemical Regulations 

  • Environmental Regulations 

  • EU and/or U.S. State Regulations 

  • Labeling

  • Packaging

  • Reporting

  • Best practices

Call Opens: Monday, June 8, 2026

Call Closes: Friday, August 14, 2026

*Proposals are not accepted after the call closes. Once our Subject Matter Experts begin their review, no additional proposals, revisions, or speaker substitutions can be considered including late submissions. Email Brielle Papalia bpapalia@aafaglobal.org for more information.
