Jean OdryHydro-Québec

Jean Odry has been a hydrology engineer at Hydro-Québec for five years, specializing in the analysis of extreme hydrological events and dam safety. An engineer by training, he holds a master's degree in natural hazards and a doctorate in hydrology. Before joining Hydro-Québec, he worked in applied research in the fields of flood prediction and forecasting.

Marie-Claude SimardHydro-Québec

Marie-Claude Simard is head of the Dam Safety Studies unit at Hydro-Québec. For over 15 years, she has been working in the fields of hydrology, dam safety, risk management, and climate change adaptation. An engineer by training with a master's degree in environmental engineering focusing on hydrology and the impacts of climate change, she is an active contributor to several national and international committees dedicated to dam safety, risk management, and infrastructure resilience in a changing climate.
