This continuing medical education conference is presented by the Regional Surgical Services department at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. The program is designed for a broad interprofessional audience, including family physicians, specialist physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, allied health professionals, residents, and medical learners.

The purpose of this event is to enhance primary care management of both medical-surgical conditions, reduce system burden, and support timely access to care for patients across the region. The program will serve as a valuable opportunity for participants to gain new knowledge and practical clinical skill sets, while strengthening collaboration and relationships between primary care providers and specialist teams.

The event will feature a mix of presentations from multiple medical-surgical specialties, hands-on skill-building sessions, and opportunities to engage with community vendors and members of the Central Intake interdisciplinary care team. Sessions will emphasize practical, evidence-based approaches that can be applied directly in clinical practice.

This program is accredited for CFPC Mainpro+ and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (MOC Program). Continuing education certificates will be available for other health professionals and learners.
