Announcing the 2026 Global Engagement Awardees
International Affairs is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Faculty Global Engagement Awards, which recognize outstanding contributions that advance SDSU’s global mission through research, teaching, creative activity, and transborder engagement.




Symposium & Awards Ceremony - April 20, 2026
The Faculty Global Engagement Symposium showcases innovative and impactful work taking place across SDSU. Through dynamic, short-format presentations, award recipients will share how their work has influenced global communities, strengthened transborder collaboration, and enriched global perspectives within our university community.
This special event honors recipients of the following awards:
Outstanding Global Research, Teaching or Creative Activity Award
Outstanding Transborder Research, Teaching or Creative Activity Award
Outstanding International Scholar Award
Awardees will share a compelling example of their work through brief TED-style presentations, highlighting the impact of their research, teaching, or creative activity and its contribution to global and transborder engagement.
