FM Update is designed to meet the needs of our family physicians in Thunder Bay and the surrounding communities. The only locally developed, family medicine focused conference, this is an opportunity to learn more about the emerging clinical topics as a general practitioner, develop our knowledge and leadership skills as faculty members and preceptors, understand our supports organizations within the region as a provincial member, and network with fellow colleagues. 

We have a variety of presentations lined up to satisfy your CME cravings! Some of the topics for this year include: pediatrics, dermatology, and cancer detection and prevention, and other popular primary care topics.

Who should Attend? Family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, learners, and all members from healthcare teams.

Conference Learning Objectives:

1. Evaluate updates, research evidence, and emerging clinical approaches relevant to commonly encountered primary care issues. (CanMEDs - FM Roles: Collaborator, Communicator, Family Medicine Expert, Health Advocate) 

2. Explore practical strategies to support physician wellbeing, foster career sustainability, and promote a fulfilling, balanced approach to family medicine practice. (CanMEDs - FM Roles: Communicator, Family Medicine Expert, Health Advocate, Scholar)

Cancellation Policy

A 50% administrative fee will be deducted from the purchased ticket price for any refunds issued 7 days prior to the event. There will be no refunds issued 7 or less days from the event date.
