Presenter Timeline
As we have received many questions about the timeline and ability to edit submissions, we have included a timeline of events for the 2026 UW Undergraduate Research Symposium, below.
From January 6, 2026, to February 12, 2026 (11:59PM), the submission period is open and undergraduate researchers are able to apply to present.
From finalizing a submission, the Primary Mentor has until February 20, 2026, to voice concern over an undergraduate researchers submission. There is no formal or physical action required unless you want to withdraw the student.
During this time, all submissions will be reviewed by the Office of Undergraduate Research to ensure the submission meets the minimum requirements and abides by the Code of Conduct.
From March 9 to 16, 2026, the Revision Window will be open. During this time, submitters will be able to make minor revisions to their submission title and abstract. Minor revisions should not alter the nature of the original submission.
From March 17 to 27, 2026 presenters and co-presenters will need to register to confirm their attendance to the May 15, 2026, event. All non-registered submissions will be withdrawn after the 27th. While registering, you may inform us of any schedule conflicts or needed accommodations.
On April 20, 2026, presenters will be informed of their session assignments. This will include which session you are in, room number, easel number, and general presenter information.
On May 14, 2026, check-in will be hosted in Mary Gates Hall. During this time, presenters and co-presenters are asked to attend to receive their lanyards and name tags, and will have the opportunity to get any questions they have answered before the day-of.
On May 15, 2026, the UW Undergraduate Research Symposium will occur. There will be a check-in time in the early morning for presenters and co-presenters that were not able to make it on May 14, 2026.
