Frequently Asked Questions
Building Access
When you arrive at 410 W. Georgia, you are welcome to enter at the Northeastern entrance on the west side of the building, or through the main lobby off of Homer Street across from the Library Square. Look for the Northeastern banner outside the main lobby elevators, where a volunteer will be there to greet you and give you access to the 14th floor.
Conference Check In
All organizers, guests, and volunteers must wear a guest lanyard provided by NU. Lanyards will be distributed during the check-in process, which will take place after you arrive on the 14th floor. Guests must provide first and last names, along with emails, for check in.
Parking:
The underground parkade is accessible from the laneway between Homer and Richards, on the west side of the building.
The parking facility will have meters or hangTag App (Google Play) (Apple Store). App for visitors to purchase parking. The rates are: (plus applicable taxes):
$3.5 per half hour
$7 per hour
$20 All Day until 6pm
$10 Evening, 6pm to Close
Street parking is also available along Homer Street, Robson Street and on West Georgia Street. Parking is charged on average at about $4.00 an hour from 9am-10pm, though may vary based on location. If you do not have coins, you can pay using the PayByPhone App (Google Play) (Apple Store). You will need the location code of the street (found on a meter) for paying via the app.
Outdoor public bike parking is available across the street at the Vancouver Public Library.
Wifi
Signs are posted by the check-in desk each day with the one-day guest wifi network and password.
Washroom Access
There are male, female, and all-gender washrooms on the 14th floor highlighted on the map below. The building also offers an accessibility washroom on the 1st floor, our volunteers at the check-in desk will be happy to accompany you back to the 1st floor so you can return to campus via the elevator.
