Workshop ALLS/TrUST 2026

The ALLS/TrUST workshop in ultrafast science and technology aims to bring together the students, professors and scientists of Canada working in ultrafast science and technology, including members of the Advanced Laser Light Source ALLS and the Training in Ultrafast Science and Technology program (TrUST). In addition to talks by past, present and (potentially) future ALLS users, we will have a technical school with lecture-style tutorial talks for everyone and hands-on lab experience for selected TrUST students. Students will be invited to share their work during poster sessions and contributed talks.

All talks are offered in hybrid format. You can sign up to assist to the conference online for free.

Schedule overview

• September 13 : Talks (afternoon only) and reception at the INRS offices in Montreal (Place Bonaventure)

• September 14 and 15 : Conference at the Archives nationales de Montréal in Montreal

• September 16, 17 and 18 : Lectures (morning only) for everyone and technical school (afternoon) for selected TrUST students at ALLS in Varennes

Activity

On Sept. 15, we will organize an excursion for all the participants. We will go bowling at Quilles G+ near the Beaubien metro station between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Snacks will be provided, but no full meal.

Transport

For the conference at Archives nationales : Transport is the responsibility of the participants. We invite you to choose accommodations close to the site.

For the excursion : We invite you to use public transport to get to the Beaubien metro station.

For students selected for the technical school at ALLS : We invite you to use public transport. You will be provided with metro/bus tickets. From the Berri-UQAM metro, you can take the metro yellow line to get to the Longueuil-Université-de-Sherbrooke metro. From there, the bus lines 707, 723 and 732 bring you directly in front of INRS in Varennes in about 20 minutes.

For people not selected for the technical school, but who would like to attend the lectures in Varennes on Sept. 16, 17 and 18 : Please contact us. We invite you to use public transport.
