Soapbox

This specialised poster session is designed to provide an informal presentation and discussion opportunity. The Soapbox session combines oral and poster presentation styles.

Presentation Information

Oral: Soapbox presentations will occur at the start of the poster session in one of the theatres and flow into the lobby where the posters are set up. Please keep your Soapbox Presentation short, no longer than a few minutes. These presentations allow students to briefly introduce themselves and highlight one or two key points of their work. These pitches aim to engage the audience and encourage delegates to view the posters and connect with the presenters during the poster session.

Each presenter can provide one slide with a figure, message, photo, or other visual aid to show while making their pitch.

  • Soapbox presenters should submit their slide at least one day before the poster session

  • Slides can be submitted as a PowerPoint or PDF document

  • File Name: “soapbox_last name” (e.g., soapbox_Sandeman.pptx)

Slide submission options:

  • Email to niels_weiss@gov.nt.ca

  • Submit your presentation to Kelly Pierce outside of Theatre 1 at the Capitol Theatre on the morning of Tuesday, 26 November 2024
