Craig brings his expertise to spearhead innovation efforts, fostering transformative solutions and driving progress in the defense sector. With a solid commitment to excellence and a keen strategic mindset, Craig is dedicated to pushing boundaries, achieving organizational goals, and making a meaningful impact in his field.

    Before this role, Craig has been fortunate to serve in a variety of leadership positions with high-performing teams, building successful programs and initiatives in his own companies and for organizations such as Kauffman Foundation, Cleveland Clinic, Ohio’s SBDC, working in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Technology Transfer & Commercialization and served as a US Fulbright Specialist.

    Jaime Wood-Riley (she/they) taught for sixteen years in college and university classrooms before moving into faculty development and instructional design. An interdisciplinarian at heart, she earned Master's degrees in Education, Creative Writing, and Sociology and a Graduate Certificate in Gender, Race, and Nations. She began her career teaching at an Expeditionary Learning Outward Bound middle school, where she learned the importance of human-centered pedagogy and cultural competency. Currently, Jaime works as a Senior Program Officer at VentureWell, a nonprofit that serves higher education at the intersection of inclusive innovation, entrepreneurship, and social and environmental sustainability.

    Camillo coordinates activities that are key for the implementation of the VentureWell Industry-University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC) Evaluation Program. He supports the development of a range of industry partners to support the VentureWell early stage innovators and a vibrant i&e ecosystem. Previously he worked as a commercial lines underwriter, consultant, and startup co-founder. His education background includes a B.B.A. in Finance and Operations and an M.B.A. with a focus on data analytics from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.

  • Joseph ("Joey") Scott

    Joseph ("Joey") Scott

    Ohio Department of Development

    Joseph “Joey” Scott is the statewide program manager of the Ohio APEX Accelerator network at the Ohio Department of Development (Development). In his role, Joseph leads the Ohio APEX Accelerator program and works closely with the regional APEX Accelerator offices, which are hosted by Development partners.

    He previously was the director of Youngstown State University’s (YSU) PTAC, which is hosted by the Williamson College of Business Administration.

    Joseph graduated from YSU with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration. He maintains a Certified Global Business Professional certification with the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators. He also is a certified FourSight Facilitator, and has been trained in Creative Problem Solving by Buffalo State and Design Thinking by Stanford University’s D-School.

    When Joey is not innovating or leading the Ohio APEX Accelerator, he teaches a class on government contracting. He also tries his hand at golf and writing.
