Banff Centre
April 6-10, 2022

Welcome

The 65th Canadian Society for Molecular BioSciences (CSMB) meeting will be held Wednesday, April 6 to Sunday, April 10, 2022 at The Banff Centre located in the beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains in Banff, Alberta, Canada.

The theme of the meeting is “Membrane Proteins in Health and Disease” and will feature sessions on

  • Channel structure and function
  • Transporter structure and function
  • Transmembrane Enzymes
  • Membrane Protein Structure
  • Diseases of Membrane Proteins

The final program can be found HERE.

A satellite meeting, The Canadian Physiological Society Annual meeting, will also be held one day before the main meeting with topics focused on Physiology of membrane proteins. See more information at the end of this page.

THINGS TO DO IN BANFF:

This is prime ski season. Very sunny days with lots of snow still in the peaks. Sunshine ski resort is the closest mountain but Lake Louise is awesome too.

The Fairmont Banff hotel has a lovely tea room and bar. There is a Hotspring in the town of Banff. It is a pool format and towels can be rented.

In the town of Banff there is ample shopping and restaurants. Some nice local breweries and distilleries as well. There are some hikes as well but some higher elevation trails may be snowy.

At the Banff centre various amenities exist including a pool and climbing wall (great for adults and kids).
