GENERAL ABSTRACT GUIDELINES:
- Abstract submission should relate to the conference theme described above.
- Abstracts are limited to 300 words.
- Format abstracts according to the Abstract Categories/ Selection Criteria section below.
- Submissions must be received by Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (PST).
- Notifications will be sent to the primary presenting author of the abstract in March 2025.

NOTIFICATION TO AUTHORS:
The AAPINA Abstract Committee will assign abstracts to either podium or poster presentations.

REGISTRATIONS BY PRESENTING AUTHORS:
● All presenters must register for the conference and pay the applicable registration fees.
● If the primary presenting author of an abstract is unable to attend the conference, the author should make arrangements for another individual to present the paper or poster, and that individual must register for the conference.

COPYRIGHT, PUBLICATIONS, AWARD ELIGIBILITY:
●     AAPINA will accept submission of abstracts on research/projects with designs, data or analysis that have been published or presented prior to AAPINA 2025 conference at regional/national venues.
●     Abstracts and references should only be submitted in English.
●     We request that authors include a notation in other abstracts/presentations that their abstracts were presented at the 2025 Annual AAPINA Conference.
●     All abstracts accepted as podium/poster presentations will be eligible for the podium or poster awards at the 2025 Annual AAPINA Conference.

TYPES OF PODIUM /POSTER SESSION:
●     Research Projects, including clinical trials, feasibility studies, methodology, and implementation studies.
●     Evidence-Based Practice (EBP)/Quality Improvement (QI) Projects
●     Theory Development/Concept Analysis
●     Systematic Literature Reviews
●     Others, such as case studies, health policy/program development

* * Incomplete research/projects at the time of abstract submission will not be considered for a podium presentation. Abstracts for completed or in-progress work are both eligible for poster sessions.

ABSTRACT CATEGORIES/ CRITERIA:
In addition, the Abstract Committee will use the following specific criteria when selecting abstracts for podium or poster presentation:

Research abstracts, including instrument development:

EBP/QI Project abstracts include evidence-based projects, quality/process improvement projects, and program evaluation with no intention to generalize knowledge outside of the organizations.

PICOT: (P)opulation/ Patient Problem, (I)ntervention, (C)omparison, (O)utcome, (T)ime
SMART: (S)pecific, (M)easurable, (A)chievable, (R)elevant, and (T)ime-Bound)
●     Problem/Background
●     PICOT Statement (EBP)/ SMART Aim (QI)
●     Methods/Implementation
●     Results/Outcomes
●     Conclusions/Implications

Theory Development/Concept Analysis abstracts:
●     Purposes/Aims
●     Description of theory or method/definition of concept
