24th Occasional Temperament Conference

The 24^th edition of the Occasional Temperament Conference will take place October 5-7 2023 in Orford, Québec, Canada.

The Occasional Temperament Conference (OTC) welcomes researchers, students and practitioners from around the world who have a special interest in the study of temperament and its use in a variety of contexts. Given that it brings together prominent experts in the field into a small-scale setting, the OTC offers a unique opportunity for networking with leaders and colleagues who are passionate about the study and applications of temperament.

The 24^th edition of the OTC will feature two distinguished keynote speakers and seven symposiums covering multiple domains, from the biological underpinnings of temperament to its practical applications.

Keynote Speakers

Nancy Eisenberg is a Regents Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Arizona State University. Her research interests include relations between temperament, self-regulation and socio-emotional adjustment, moral development, culture, and developmental psychopathology.

Professor Eisenberg’s impactful work has been published in all the major psychology journals. She has served as Editor or Associate Editor for journals such as Developmental Psychology, American Psychologist, Child Development Perspectives, or Psychological Bulletin. She is the recipient of countless awards and honors, including from the Society for Research in Child Development, the American Psychological Association, and the Association for Psychological Science.

Jennifer Tackett is a clinical psychologist, professor of psychology and director of clinical training at Northwestern University. She leads the Personality Across Development Lab which studies interactions between temperament, individual experiences, and biology in order to gain a better understanding of the contribution of youth personality to common behavioral problems.

Professor Tackett is Editor-in-chief of Clinical Psychological Science and has served as Associate Editor for journals such as Advances in Methods and Practices in Psychological Science; Journal of Personality; Perspectives in Psychological Science; the Journal of Psychopathology and Behavioral Assessment; the Journal of Personality Disorders Assessment, and the Journal of Research in Personality.
