Dear CRP members,

After a pause last year, we are pleased to invite you to attend the next edition of the Cancer Research Program Research day of the RI-MUHC. This annual event brings together students, staff, principal investigator and clinicians that are members of the program to celebrate the most recent CRP discoveries. It represents a good opportunity for graduate students to present their research progress and participate to an oral/poster presentation competition. The work conducted by some CRP Principal Investigators will also be highlighted.

This year the thematic is " Translating Your Scientific Discovery ". Our keynote lecturer is Dr. Lisa Horvath, MBBS, FRACP, PhD. Dr. Horvath is the Director of Research and Senior Staff Specialist at the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse and Clinical Researcher heading the Advanced Prostate Cancer Group at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in The Kinghorn Cancer Centre. She is also a Professor of Medical Oncology (Genitourinary cancer) at the University of Sydney and Chair of the Prostate Subcommittee of the Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate (ANZUP) clinical trials group. We are extremely grateful that she has accepted our invitation.

Objectives :

Celebrate recent discoveries of CRP members
Encourage scientific exchanges and new collaborations
Provide students with an opportunity to present their research projects

Après une pause l'an dernier, nous avons le plaisir de vous inviter à la prochaine édition de la Journée de la recherche du Programme de recherche sur le cancer de l’IR-CUSM. Cet événement annuel rassemble les étudiants, le personnel, les chercheurs principaux et les cliniciens membres du programme pour célébrer les plus récentes découvertes du PRC. Il représente une belle opportunité pour les étudiants gradués de présenter leurs progrès de recherche et de participer à un concours de présentations orales/par affiches. Les travaux menés par certains chercheurs principaux du programme seront également mis en lumière.

Cette année, la thématique est « Traduire vos découvertes scientifiques ». Notre invitée de marque est la Dre Lisa Horvath, MBBS, FRACP, PhD. La Dre Horvath est directrice de la recherche et spécialiste principale du Chris O'Brien Lifehouse et chercheure clinique à la tête du groupe avancé sur le cancer de la prostate au Garvan Institute of Medical Research du Kinghorn Cancer Center. Elle est également professeure d'oncologie médicale (cancer génito-urinaire) à l'Université de Sydney et présidente du sous-comité de la prostate pour le ‘’Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate (ANZUP) clinical trials group’’. Nous lui sommes extrêmement reconnaissants d'avoir accepté notre invitation
