2024 Symposium - The impact of microbial evolution and ecology on human health
Welcome to the McGill Centre for Microbiome Research
Microbiomes are all around us: in the water, soil, crops, sediments, plants, and animals. These diverse micro-organisms are essential players of every known ecosystem on Earth, including the human body, where they shape our health and resistance to disease. Characterizing them and understanding their roles in and on the human body is a new frontier in health research.
It was this ecosystemic approach that inspired the theme of our 2024 Symposium: The impact of microbial evolution and ecology on human health.
We are delighted to celebrate the 5th anniversary of our Centre with you during this 2-days event that will bring together a panel of internationnally renowed researchers and guests:
