Lodging Information

Blocks of rooms have been reserved for the BioMetals 2018 participants at the Novotel Ottawa (http://www.novotel.com/gb/hotel-0979-novotel-ottawa/index.shtml) and at the residences of the University of Ottawa. The Novotel and the residences are located in the heart of Ottawa and are walking distance to the conference center (5 to 10 min walk).


Novotel Ottawa

Room rates and information:

Superior with 1 Breakfast Included (Single/Double): $175.00

Superior with 2 Breakfasts Included (Single/Double): $195.00

Next Generation with 1 Breakfast Included (Single/Double): $195.00

Next Generation with 2 Breakfasts Included (Single/Double): $215.00

Additional Person: $20.00

Guestroom information:

  • Guestroom rates are subject to 13% Harmonized Sales Tax and 3% Destination Marketing Fee.
  • Rates are based on 2 adults per room. Additional adults can be added for $20.00 per person for a maximum of 4 adults per room.
  • Junior King Suites are an additional $40.00 per room per night plus applicable taxes based on availability should guest wish to upgrade.
  • High-speed Internet and the use of the pool and fitness centre are included in the rate.
  • Hotel Check-In 3 p.m. and Check-out 12 p.m.
  • Rates are non-commissionable.
  • Rates will be available two days prior and two days after the BioMetals symposium, subject to availability of guest rooms at the time of booking.

Cut-off Date:

The cut-off date for accepting reservations/rooming lists for this room block is Thursday, June 14, 2018. Reservations requested after this date will be accepted solely at the discretion of the Hotel and upon the Hotel’s rate and space availability. Should the Group rate not be available after the cut-off date, the prevailing rates will apply.

Cancellation policy:

Individual guestrooms reservations may be cancelled up until 7 days prior to arrival without penalty. After that time a no-show fee equivalent to a one night stay will apply.

Payment:

Valid credit card is required upon making a reservation and upon check-in.

University of Ottawa residences

Room rates and general information:

90U residence: Suite style – air-conditioned units include two separate bedrooms, a kitchenette equipped with microwave, fridge, table and chairs, and a private washroom with shower. Each bedroom has a double bed and a desk and chair. The rate is for up to four people per unit. $135 per night per suite.

Rideau Traditional: air-conditioned single room with one double bed, a desk and chair, and a private washroom with shower. Each room includes a television and mini-fridge. $135 per night per room.

Rideau residence: air-conditioned double room with two double beds, a desk and chair, and a private washroom with shower. Each room includes a television and mini-fridge. $135 per night per room.
