A-BC 2025 MEETING PROGRAM:

Day 1: February 11 TRAVEL DAY

8:00 pm-10:30 pm WELCOME RECEPTION

Join us at 8 pm for our welcome reception at the RED ANTLER.

Check in at the registration table to pick up your meeting materials.

Light food and beverages will be provided.

Day 2: February 12 MEETING DAY 1

08:00 am - 10:30 pm

*Our ABC 2025 group photo will be taken at 07:50 am outside of the NATC!

Scientific Presentations start at 8 am in the NATC Auditorium.

We will have an afternoon activity break from 12:00-4:00 for winter recreation (ski, snowboard, cross country, snow shoeing, tubing, skating etc...).

Return to the NATC Auditorium at 4 pm for keynote speaker and sessions 4:00-6:00.

Evening Burger Night Social @ The Den 7:30-10:30 pm.

Day 3: February 13 MEETING DAY 2

08:00 am -10:30 pm

Scientific Presentations start at 8 am in the NATC Auditorium.

We have an afternoon activity break 12:00-4:00 pm for winter recreation (ski, snowboard, cross country, tubing, skating).

Return to the NATC Auditorium at 4 pm for keynote speaker and sessions 4:00-6:00.

Final Evening Awards Banquet @ the Black Pine Social House 8:00-10:30 pm.

Day 4: February 14 TRAVEL DAY

The UBC Bus passengers our planned departure is at 10:00 to return to UBC Vancouver.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Attendees are responsible to make bookings for their own accommodations. Due to limited inventory at the resort we strongly urge you to make your accommodation booking early. Should you need to cancel, there is usually a 30 day cancellation policy in place. Trainees arrange their own or they can join group accommodations that are organized by trainees.

TRANSPORTATION:

There is a local company called Kelowna Concierge who offer a shuttle from the Kelowna Airport to Silver Star Mountain. Book in advance and use promo code UBC25!

The half day lift passes are valid from 12:30-3:30 during the afternoon break.

Mountain activities include: downhill skiing & snowboarding, Nordic skiing & snowshoeing, fat tire biking, skating & tubing.

MEETING ATTIRE CASUAL:

Reminder- the location of the meeting is a beautiful mountain top in British Columbia. Silver Star is very cold (-25*C) and the snow is very deep. Pack for comfort and warmth. You will need to pack warm winter garments; boots, coat, hat and gloves. You may also want to pack your winter activity equipment- skis, snowboard, snowshoes. Pack a swim suit too as some accommodations have hot tubs.
