Every year, the Canadian Section of the IVR (International Association for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy) holds a conference devoted to subjects in law, legal theory, and moral and political philosophy.

CSWIP Panel – Tuesday, June 3, 9:00–11:00 AM

We’re pleased to feature a session hosted by the Canadian Society Working for Inclusion in Philosophy (CSWIP).

The founding editors of Feminist Philosophy Quarterly will discuss the experiences and the challenges of starting an open-access journal in feminist philosophy, the lessons learned from editing, and what we believe and hope for the future of feminist philosophical journal publishing.

CJP Lecture: Valuings as Sentiments

As part of its mission to enrich philosophy within Canada, the Canadian Journal of Philosophy hosts a yearly Distinguished Lecture at the CPA's annual conference. This year, we are pleased to announce Christine Tappolet (Université de Montréal) as our speaker.

College Ethics Bowl at Congress 2025

On June 1 and 2, undergraduate teams from across Canada will compete in the College Ethics Bowl—a dynamic, debate-style competition centered on applied ethics. Matches will be held throughout the day at the St. James campus. Come support these talented students as they engage with real-world moral challenges.

Canadian Society for the History and Philosophy of Science (CSHPS)

CSHPS will hold its annual conference as part of Congress from 30 May - 1 June 2025, at George Brown College (St. James and Waterfront campuses). A special session will celebrate the life and work of Kathleen Okruhlik (1951-2024).
