ADHERE 2

Pre-registration for Adhere2 is open!

Following the success of Adhere1, a European-wide conference focused on cell adhesion, and the unanimously positive feedback we received on the format, location, and atmosphere, we are delighted to announce that Adhere2, the second in this new series of meetings, will take place in 2025!
Adhere2 will be held next year from September 3 to 6, 2025, in the same beautiful location, the 3000-year-old city of Zadar, on the Croatian coast, at Hotel Kolovare.

Adhere2 will follow the same format as Adhere1. There will be no invited speakers, except for the plenary speaker, supported by EMBO. Instead, Adhere2 will determine its own content based on contributions from those who attend. In 2023, our model consisted of short lectures by Principal Investigators who wished to present, and poster sessions where mainly PhD students and Postdocs shared their data. The main discussions and exchange of ideas took place in an informal atmosphere around the poster sessions, accompanied by cheese and wine.

Similar as 2023, the registration fee will include meals during the conference, encouraging social interaction among participants, as well as an organized boat trip around the historic city, and ample networking opportunities.

We kindly ask for your support by pre-registering for Adhere2. To do so, please simply send an email to Andreja.Ambriovic.Ristov@irb.hr indicating whether you would like to give a lecture and providing a preliminary lecture title and your photo.
The conference’s success depends on the participation of Principal Investigators in the field, whose involvement shapes its content. We will also strive to secure additional funding to subsidize or fully fund PhD students and Postdocs.

This model ensures low risk and cost for both the organizers and participants. Here are the anticipated costs:

1. HOTEL: 155,00 EUR - single room; 90,00 EUR - double room (each participant will reserve and pay for the hotel themselves).

2. REGISTRATION FEE: 410,00 EUR - includes all meals during the conference, a formal dinner, coffee breaks, and the boat excursion.

Please let us know within four weeks (deadline: October 30th) if you are interested in attending Adhere2. After collecting the applications, we will update the Adhere2 website, where your lecture will be announced.
