The York University Association of Graduate Students in the Biological Sciences (AGSBS) is thrilled to present its 47th annual biology symposium...virtually! This year's theme is Biology & Beyond: A Discussion of the Sciences and will encompass topics from microbiology, ecology, and physiology.
You can look forward to a lineup of invigorating keynote talks, student talks, poster presentations, helpful workshops, and our very first Lion's Den! For a full description of our speakers, click on the "Speakers" tab. To know when each event is taking place and the necessary links to join, click on the "Schedule" tab. If you want to know what the Lion's Den is, then scroll down!
You will need to register in order to participate and attend the events of the symposium. Please register using the "Registration" tab.
Lion's Den
As part of the AGSBS 47th Annual Symposium, we will be hosting a brand-new event: Lion’s Den.
Do you have what it takes to impress these Lions? Try convincing them, in 90 seconds or less, that your research is the NEXT. BIG. THING. Rules: Present your research as you would to someone without a science background. You have 90 seconds to speak to your judges: A “Bay Street investment banker” and a “University President”. Slides are not allowed, props are welcomed. Winner will get a $50.00 CAD gift card.
