ALPM 2025 Submissions

Interested in hosting a presentation or delivering a brief oral presentation at ALPM 2025 from the comfort of your home or office?

Our reimagined conference is set to deliver a host of enlightening talks and unique sessions. Now is the moment to impart your knowledge and insights, engaging directly with peers from all over Canada!

The Conference Planning Committee is accepting submissions for two different types of talks:

  1. Interactive presentations
  2. Complex case presentations

Submission Guidelines

All presentations must be given LIVE (vs pre-recorded).

Submission deadline: 11:30pm ET, Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Results will be sent by email in early December.

 

Full Guidelines

The presentations should be 15-20 minutes long, followed by a 5-minute question and answer period. The planning committee may invite some presenters to deliver a 60-minute presentation, depending on the topic and the availability of time slots.

Presenters must present live (vs. pre-recorded).

· A maximum of two presenters is permitted per session.

· Presenters cannot be added or changed after submission.

· Completed and submitted conflict of interest (COI) forms are MANDATORY for all presenters (including your co-presenter, if applicable) for your application to be considered complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered by the workshop review committee. It is the duty of the primary presenter to ensure that your co-presenter has completed their COI form by the submission deadline.

· The presentations should be 15-20 minutes long, followed by a 5-minute question and answer period. 

· At least 25% of the presentation must be interactive.

Full Guidelines

Presenters must be a member of CSPM. 

Presenters cannot be added or changed after submission.

Complex case presentations should fit within the Canadian context and encourage lively discussion among participants. Submissions will be assessed based on the following criteria:

• Relevant to clinical practice in advanced level palliative medicine
• Interactive
• Practical

Presentations should adhere to the following guidelines:

o   No more than 2 presenters
o   30 minutes long (including 10 min Q&A)
o   At least 25% of the presentation must be interactive.
