The Humboldt Forum: A site of ongoing debate.

The Humboldt Forum has a complex history and has been the subject of much public debate. It is now a place for intensive discussions about different forms of coloniality.

During the ANGEL conference, we will discuss coloniality in many forms, remembering global and local injustices in a research and policy forum. It is important to note that Global Education researchers and practitioners have been addressing these issues for many decades, engaging publicly in debates regarding colonial oppression and learning to challenge injustices, both local and global, since at least the 1970s.

Please read more about why we have chosen this venue for the ANGEL conference in the booklet linked to below.

Catering

We are happy to be able to fund a modest amount of catering provision for conference attendees (on 5th & 6th June only).

Catering stations just outside Hall 1, and in the Seminar Room Lobby area will be serving tea, coffee, snacks, and soft drinks between 9:00 and 12:00.

A light lunch will also be provided both days in the Seminar Room Lobby area.

All food is sourced sustainably and the use of disposable items is being avoided. We recommend that you bring a water bottle to help with this. Any surplus food will be donated to Berliner Tafel.

Alternatively, you can visit the Humboldt Forum's own Bistro and Cafe (1st floor).
