Welcome

For campus partners, student groups, and UBCO departments, Create is an excellent opportunity to share your message with incoming new-to-UBCO undergraduate students.

Create is UBC’s official welcome to all new students attending the Okanagan campus. The event serves to introduce all new students to campus and community resources.

Quick facts about Create

• Up to 1500 new UBC Okanagan students attend each year

• A one-day event that takes place annually on Labour Day (Monday, September 1, 2025)

• Supported by more than 250 students, staff, and faculty

In the afternoon, students are given free time to explore and learn more about campus and community partners, student resources, and involvement opportunities at Showcase.
