The Cardiology Program at Health Sciences North is hosting its 4th Annual Cardiovascular Symposium (formerly known as Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Symposium) on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST. The Symposium will be delivered as a hybrid event with top clinicians and researchers who will each deliver interactive presentations on updated clinical skills and new innovations in Cardiology

Overall Program Learning Objectives

At the end of this symposium, participants will be able to:

1. Analyze and integrate findings from echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, and sleep studies to diagnose and manage complex cardiovascular conditions 

2. Apply updated clinical guidelines, including those for heart failure, mitral valve disease, and diabetes management to formulate patient-centred treatment plans 

3. Evaluate the unique cardiovascular risks in specialized populations, including women and oncology patients, to tailor preventative and therapeutic strategies.

Registration Fees - In-Person

• Physicians: $100.00

• PAs/NPs: $50.00

• Nurses/Allied Health: $30.00

• Students: $ 20.00

Registration Fees - Virtual

• Physicians: $75.00

• PAs/NPs: $40.00

• Nurses/Allied Health: $25.00

• Students: $ 15.00

Cancellation Policy

The NOSM CEPD office reserves the right to cancel courses if required. Registrants will be notified as early as possible if this course is cancelled.

Registration fees for courses cancelled by NOSM CEPD office will be refunded; however NOSM CEPD will not be liable for any loss, damage or other expenses that such cancellation may cause.

In the event that a participant needs to withdraw from the program after registering, a cancellation administration fee will be applied. Please see below for cancellation deadlines and associated fees:

1. Cancellation within 10 days of the conference receives zero refund

2. Cancellation 11 days or more before the conference receives a refund of 75% of the paid fee
