Introduce young minds to the joy of bonsai in this fun and interactive Children’s Jade Workshop led by Carmen Leskovianski and Justin Dardenne. Designed especially for kids, this session offers a hands-on experience with Jade plants, a beginner-friendly species perfect for learning the basics of bonsai care and styling. Participants will pot their own Jade bonsai, learn simple techniques, and explore the art of shaping and nurturing a living tree. With guidance from two passionate artists and plenty of encouragement, kids will leave with a tree of their own—and a sense of pride in creating something beautiful. All materials provided. As the weekend winds down, join us at the Parish Boil House for a soulful send-off where bonsai artistry meets the unmistakable sound of New Orleans blues. Enjoy a classic crawfish boil while soaking in the rich, heartfelt melodies of live blues that echo the spirit of the South. Tap your feet, share stories with fellow bonsai lovers, and celebrate the connections we've cultivated over the weekend. As the final notes play and the last shells are cracked, we’ll be singing the blues—not just for the rhythm, but because we hate to see you go. But like the roots of a bonsai, the friendships formed here will keep growing. Good food. Great music. Even better company. Let the bonsai bonds grow deep—and until next time, keep the rhythm alive.
