For the Peoples: Native Voices & Beyond
THIS IS A NO-COST EVENT. REGISTRATION CLOSES MARCH 7, 2025, OR UNTIL WE REACH CAPACITY.
WELCOME!
Situated on the unceded territories of the Susquehannock people, and with historic ties to the Lenape and Shawnee communities, The Center for the Futures of Native Peoples at Dickinson College, which is also located about a mile from the former grounds of the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, is uniquely positioned to host a gathering of Relatives. We are thrilled to host our second symposium, For the Peoples: Native Voices & Beyond. This event is a vibrant hub for Indigenous Community members, descendants of the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, scholars in Native American and Indigenous studies, artists, students, and the wider community. This Symposium is a dynamic blend of traditional and innovative elements, featuring keynotes and panels, professional development seminars, and engaging cultural workshops that promise to enlighten and inspire. To Note: Select Presentations will be recorded and available for virtual viewing.

OPPORTUNITY FOR GIVING
Despite the generous support of the Mellon Foundation, the Center for the Futures of Native Peoples (CFNP) currently faces challenges in funding the heart of our work—our student-centered programs, serving descendants of the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, and vital community initiatives. We rely on additional support to continue hosting descendants of the Carlisle Indian School, providing opportunities for students to engage with Native cultures, and building meaningful connections with tribal nations across the country. From essential operational supplies to travel expenses, every donation makes a profound impact.
Donations can be made here. Please select "Make a Gift." Under Designation, please select "Other" and type in "Center for the Futures of Native Peoples." We thank you!
