Welcome

After a challenging year of limited operations, the CLS User Community Forum offers a space to reconnect, share updates, and look ahead together. This one-day hybrid event will bring users, staff, and partners together for open dialogue about the facility’s status, future planning, and the science that continues to thrive across our community.

In-person activities will be held in Convocation Hall at the University of Saskatchewan, with all sessions live-streamed for virtual participants.

The program will include:

Facility Update - A candid overview of the LINAC replacement project, preceded by a brief foundational overview of synchrotron fundamentals to help establish shared terminology and context for technical discussions
Strategic Planning - Updates on recent funding initiatives and the joint CISR/CLS long-range planning process for synchrotron science in Canada
Science Highlights - Presentations from CLS and UEC award winners, showcasing outstanding research and the creativity that continues to move forward despite operational challenges.
Beamline Community Series - Interactive virtual sessions hosted by beamline staff to share updates, explore new developments, or highlight science stories from beamline users

This User Community Forum is free to attend, but you must register. Everyone is welcome to join.
