MEMES CONTEST

Please read the following information concerning the contest rules before participating.

WHO CAN SUBMIT: Anyone registered for the Geotop Student Meeting 2022.

CATEGORIES:

Memes to be submitted must be related to scientific research or higher education. Participants can submit one meme per category, for example:

Field or lab work

Writing

Data analysis

Scientific communications and publications

Research during the pandemic

In short, all subjects related to research will be accepted!

RULES:

In submitting your meme, you accept the following rules:

Your meme must be submitted as a .JPEG or .PNG file with a minimum resolution of 300dpi and is 1000x500 pixels.

The memes must be bilingual (French and English)

We ask that you respect intellectual property, even if it is “just a meme.” We ask that you please submit only original content in this contest. This means that your meme must be your own creation and that you use only your own content (photos, images, drawings, etc) in its creation. You can, however, use content that is royalty-free given that you respect its associated licenses. The organizing committee cannot be held responsible in the event of a complaint related to the breaching of respect for others’ intellectual property.

The submitted memes must not reveal the nature of research that has appeared or may appear in a communication/publication unless you have received the approval of the authors of the publication. The organizing committee cannot be held responsible in the event of a complaint related to the breach of this rule.

If your meme contains a photo of a person that can be recognized, you must assure that you have the consent of that person to have their photo submitted to the contest. The organizing committee cannot be held responsible in the event there is a complaint from a person who did not consent to have their photo used in your meme.

Any meme whose content is offensive, violent, discriminatory, sexually explicit, invasive of someone’s privacy, or with any other inappropriate content will be automatically rejected from the contest. The organizing committee reserves the right to refuse any memes that do not follow this rule.
