Digital Health Symposium: From Research Infrastructure to Clinical Care
Welcome
The Research Institute's Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), in collaboration with the Réseau santé numérique (RSN), D2R-HeDS, SD4H and C3G, is pleased to announce the upcoming Digital Health Symposium: From Research Infrastructure to Clinical Care taking place on November 3-4, 2025.
Join us for two days of engaging presentations, panel discussions, workshops and networking opportunities, as we explore the intersection of data science, technology, and healthcare innovation.
Day 1 - Forum on digital platforms for health research
Day One will be dedicated to sharing information about projects supporting digital health research (e.g., platforms, services, infrastructures, software) within Quebec’s healthcare institutions.
We encourage centers funded by FRQ/MSSS/MEIE programs related to highly qualified personnel or health data management to submit presentation proposals. Other centers are also invited to participate or submit a proposal.
The objective of the day is to present the successes and challenges encountered by each group and to encourage exchanges, networking, and the achievement of common goals. A secondary objective is to define how these exchanges can be maintained over time. The day aims to bring together all stakeholders involved in digital projects (leadership, development teams, users, etc.). Since research infrastructures are sometimes shared with the administrative/performance sector, the invitation is extended to those working in these areas.
The program will be structured to allow ample time for discussion. Presentations of 20-30 minutes per center are planned, addressing the following topics:
Business models, service offering, client bases;
Governance and funding models;
Technological infrastructures (e.g., data warehouses/lakes);
Integration with other services (e.g., DRI, CÉR);
Success stories, usage statistics;
Issues and challenges encountered, possible solutions;
Roadmap and sustainability.
Day 2 - Data Science and Digital Health
Day Two brings together the digital health and data science community for a full day of knowledge exchange and networking.
The program features:
Keynote Talks: Listen to experts in digital health and data science as they share perspectives on innovation and the evolving landscape of healthcare data.
Panel Discussions: Engage with thought leaders as they tackle key legal, regulatory, and practical issues shaping health data science today.
Oral Presentations: Discover current research findings and innovative projects from leading experts and emerging voices in digital health and data science.
Trainee Rapid Fire Presentations and Poster Session: Explore research by trainees and early-career researchers, with opportunities for discussion and feedback from peers and senior investigators.
Day Two provides an inclusive forum for presenting advancements, fostering discussion, and developing new collaborations among researchers, clinicians, and innovators. Whether you are interested in technical advances, real-world applications, or the evolving landscape of healthcare data, this day is designed to inform, connect, and inspire.
All participants (seasoned professionals, early-career researchers, and trainees) are encouraged to share their work and join the conversation shaping Quebec’s digital health future.
Report - Forum on Digital Platforms for Health Research
The report from the day dedicated to digital platforms, held on November 3, 2025, as part of the Digital Health Symposium, is now available. It presents an overview of major platforms in Québec, the key issues raised by the teams, and potential actions to support their long-term sustainability.
