Yes! To attend our Annual Meeting as a non-member, register for Congress and pay our Association Conference fee according to the appropriate sliding scale amount. Your payment will be made directly to the Federation for Social Sciences and Humanities through their portal. Registration for Congress will open in January 2025.

To attend our Annual Meeting as a CSASA-ACESA Member and take advantage of our reduced meeting rate, colleagues must hold terminal degrees relevant to Canadian South Asian Studies, and be actively researching and/or teaching in Canada OR be actively enrolled in a Canadian Ph.D. or M.A. programme relevant to South Asian Studies. Please apply for membership by sending a brief bio and five keywords about your South Asia research to csasa.acesa@gmail.com

Four proposal types are accepted: Individual Paper, Panel Proposal, Roundtable Proposal, Creative Proposal. First, complete your "Registration" on this site. Then, you can add your proposal for "Submission". All Proposals must be received by February 16 at 23:59 EST. You do not have to be a CSASA-ACESA member to submit a proposal, but accepted presenters must pay all fees by March 20, 2025 at 23:59 EST to be confirmed on the schedule.

No, any colleague in South Asian Studies can submit a proposal for consideration but all presenters must be CSASA-ACESA members with annual dues paid by March 20, 2025.

Acceptances and rejections will be communicated in the third week of February. All accepted presenters must register for Congress, CSASA-ACESA's Annual Meeting, and pay their annual dues by March 20, 2025.

CSASA-ACESA solicits presentations of colleagues' original research on South Asian Studies, in four different formats. (1) Individual Paper Proposal: accepted submissions will be matched with thematically related topics; (2) Roundtable Proposals cover topics of broad interest to our field and are comprised of 3-5 presenters; (3) Panel Proposal is a pre-arranged session of panelists (3-4) with a respondent on an integrated theme; (4) Creative Proposals presenting research on topics relevant for South Asian Studies, such as Poster presentations, or other visual formats, are welcomed.
