Course Overall Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:

1. Apply strategies to cultivate a safe, supportive learning environment within the context of busy clinical practice that fosters learner engagement, curiosity, and professional growth.

2. Orient learners to busy clinical practice to support their integration into the collaborative clinical setting and set the stage for a positive and effective learning experience.

3. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to learners in busy clinical practice, ensuring continuous improvement and accountability in their educational journey while supporting a growth mindset.

4. Model professional behaviour, ethical practice, and compassionate patient care while supervising learners in busy clinical practice.

Targeted CanMEDS Competencies: All learning objectives align with the Collaborator, Leader, Scholar, and Professional CanMEDS roles.
