You are invited to the 18th annual GPCR Retreat that will be held jointly with Great Lakes GPCR Retreat and Club des Récepteurs à Sept Domaines Transmembranaires du Québec. This year’s meeting will take place on the 19th–21th of October, 2017, at the Westin Ottawa coinciding with the 150th celebration of Canadian Confederation in Ottawa.

The meeting is the oldest of its kind focused on the pharmacology, biochemistry, structural biology and developmental biology of G protein-coupled receptors, and this year’s retreat is expected to attract 200-225 researchers and trainees.

The meeting will be launched on Thursday with a Trainee Symposium providing an outstanding opportunity for our trainees to present their research to world leaders followed by the Hyman Niznik lecture by Michel Bouvier.

On Friday we will host the ISN symposium on GPCR Neurochemistry, the GPCR Biosensors, the GPCR Signaling in the cardiovascular system and the GPCR & Pain symposiums.

Saturday will house the GPCR Structure & Function Symposium followed by the Hubert Van Tol Symposium on Animal Models/Physiology and finally the John F Macdonald Lecture presented by Brian Kobilka (2012 Nobel Laureate).

The weekend of science is an intense and interactive experience, and an excellent training environment for students and post-doctoral fellows.

On behalf of the organizers, we welcome you to Ottawa for this outstanding meeting!
