Winter School in Precision Oncology

Jouvence Orford
January 29-31, 2025

Registration closed

The Winter School in Precision Oncology will give participants the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone to acquire or strengthen transversal skills and thus be better prepared to interact and collaborate with key players in cancer research and treatment.

The 3-day school comprises 3 scientific pillars: molecular imaging, immunotherapies and multi-omics studies of cancer. In addition, professionals in scientific communication and entrepreneurship will address these important skill sets in the professional development of the participants. Participants will also work in small groups to integrate their learning to present the strengths and limitations of these current techniques in cancer treatment in the form of an Oxford-style debate. The goal is to bring together graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in cancer research from across Quebec, offering them a unique opportunity for educational and professional development.

Objectives:

Rethink current approaches: Expose participants to current methods and models from a global perspective, integrating big data and artificial intelligence derived from medical imaging, novel immunotherapies and multi-omics testing.

Networking: Offer students the opportunity to meet researchers, clinicians, professionals, and other students passionate about precision oncology.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Encourage collaboration between the fields of fundamental research, medicine, bioinformatics, and other disciplines related to precision oncology.

If you are a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow interested in participating in this school, please go to the registration tab where further details for the selection process are provided.

If you are a facilitator or speaker, you must complete the registration by going to the registration tab.
