Advanced Field School in Computational Ecology
With its novel approach, the Advanced Field School in Computational Ecology offers participants the opportunity to take part in a unique interdisciplinary research experience to harness cutting-edge technologies for monitoring and modeling behavior and interactions in animal ecology.
It is a joint effort between the training program in computational biodiversity science and services BIOS2 (Université de Sherbrooke) and the Sentinel North program (Université Laval).
- Date : May 19 to 26, 2023. Participants are expected to be in Montreal on May 18 pm, at UQAM.
- Location : Le Couvent | Val-Morin (Quebec, Canada)
- Cost : $800, including registration fees, teaching and scientific materials, accommodation (multiple occupancy), meals and coffee breaks, round-trip transportation between Montreal and Val-Morin.
Classes will be taught in English, with bilingual support, and workshops will be conducted in both languages.

Selected applicants must pay the registration fee before March 26, 2023 to confirm their participation.
Note
- Tuition fees may be charged separately if the course is credited as part of your program of study (UdeS students or registration via BCI).
- If you are a BIOS2 Fellow or have received a registration fee waiver, you must still make the payment to confirm your participation. You will receive a refund (or scholarship) at the end of the summer school to cover the registration fee.
- No refunds will be made in the event of a cancellation.
