How to get to Gdansk?

International trains

There are several international trains going to Gdańsk, prices are starting from 60-80 Euros from European cities if you book in advance. If you decide to arrive to Warsaw, you can continue your journey via PKP (Polish Railways). Tickets cost 80 zł - 200zł (18-46 Euro) and the journey takes 2,5 - 4 hours). The nearest airport to Gdańsk is Gdansk (GDN), it is served by traditional and low-cost airlines. Book your flights in advance: www.skyscanner.com

Ferry routes from Sweden

Gdańsk has a regular ferry connection to/from Nynäshamn, Sweden operated by Polferries and to Karlskrona (Gdynia Terminal, 30 min from Gdańsk) operated by Stenaline. Why not go to the Congress by ferry?

From the Gdańsk Central Station (Gdansk Główny):

It is only 600 m (9 min) walk from the main train station in Gdansk to the Mercure Gdańsk Old Town Hotel. See the map.

From the Gdańsk Airport:

You have several options to get from Gdansk Airport to the city center.

There are public transportation services available from Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport directly to Gdansk Old Town.

By bus: bus no. 210 is the only direct public transportation to Gdansk Central Station. The equivalent night bus is the No. N3, which follows the same route as the No. 210. leaves every 30 min, takes 40 min, costs 4,80 PLN (1,12 Euro). Details on the bus travel from the airport to Gdańsk Old town.

By train: PKM train service that will take you into the northern part of the city (Wrzeszcz Station), where you can then take a connecting train to Gdansk Glowny (Gdansk Central Station). Leaves every 30 min, takes 30 min, costs 7 PLN (1,60 Euro).

By taxi/ uber: it takes about 20-30 minutes, and costs around 60 PLN (maybe more expensive in the rush/night hours).
