2025 EdD-Ventures Doctoral Residency Overview for the 2023 Cohort

Welcome to your third and final EdD-Ventures Summer Residency! This year marks an exciting and pivotal point in your doctoral journey as you prepare to present the Plan section of your PDSA cycle—a major milestone that moves your work from problem identification toward improvement implementation.

You will have time at the beginning of the week to finalize your Plan section presentation, which you will deliver on either Wednesday or Thursday. These presentations will give you the opportunity to receive feedback from faculty, peers, and other members of the EdD community, helping you sharpen your design for meaningful, equity-focused change.

In addition to your own presentation, you are required to attend at least two other Plan section presentations from your peers. These sessions will offer valuable insights into how your colleagues are structuring their cycles of inquiry and testing their change ideas. While two sessions are required, we encourage you to attend more, both to support your cohort and to deepen your own learning through peer engagement.

As with the other cohorts, you’ll be asked to record the presentations you attend each day via a QR code check-in form.

You are also invited to attend additional presentations from the 2024 and 2025 cohorts. These sessions offer a rich opportunity to engage with the full scope of improvement work happening across the program and to mentor newer scholars by offering thoughtful observations and questions.
