Information on the processing of personal data

Pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna informs you that:

The Controller of your personal data is Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Piazza Martiri della Libertà 33, 56127 Pisa, represented by the Rector Sabina Nuti.
Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), located in Pisa, Piazza Martiri della Libertà 33. The DPO can be contacted by e-mail at dpo@santannapisa.it.
Your personal data such as name, surname, affiliation, e-mail address, academic title/position will be processed for the purpose of registering you to the 2024 Conference of the European Policy for Intellectual Property (EPIP) Association ”Intellectual Property and the Future of the Data Economy", preparing and distributing the Conference materials, and ensuring the proper carrying out of its activities.
Your personal data will be processed by Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and will not be transferred by Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna to third countries (outside the European Economic Area) and international organizations.
As you have registered and paid the participation fee for the EPIP 2024 Conference, which includes also the membership fee for the EPIP Association, your basic personal data (name, surname, position, affiliation and email address) will be shared with EPIP on the basis of the consent you have given, in compliance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Your provision of personal data for this purpose remains voluntary and open to withdrawal until your data are shared by Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna to EPIP at the end of the Conference.
Until your personal data is made available by Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna to EPIP, you may exercise your rights under GDPR at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. These entail the rights to obtain information about the processing of your personal data and your rights under the GDPR, access to and rectification of the content of your data, the right to have your personal data deleted from the controller's files (unless further processing is necessary for the performance of a legal obligation or for the purpose of establishing, pursuing or defending claims), the right to restrict processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing, in the cases and under the conditions specified in the GDPR. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out based on consent before its withdrawal. You may withdraw your consent to processing your personal data by email to privacy@santannapisa.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the DPO if you consider that processing your personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR.
If you voluntarily consent to Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna sharing your personal data with the European Policy for Intellectual Property Association, EPIP will be the controller of your personal data after Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna shares it.
