Welcome to the event website!

Whether you are an undergraduate medical learner, a postgrad learner or a spouse, partner or family member of a future physician, we are glad you are interested in seeing what this conference can offer.

Northern Ontario needs excellent clinicians - clinicians who are advocates, leaders, adventurers and changemakers - in all disciplines and from training programs anywhere!

We also want your partners and families to know that we know that their happiness in Northern Ontario is part of your success as a clinician.

Our focus this year is on planning:

  1. For undergraduate learners - planning your electives
  2. For postgraduate learners - planning your future work, and locuming in particular
  3. For partners and families - what you need to plan for - for yourself and your partner/family member as they move through their medical education

And for everyone - financial planning including debt management, investment, incentives, and how to think through planning your family in the context of your education and career.

We will have opportunities to meet with community representatives and recruiters during breaks and on the afternoon of October 22. Mix and mingle with them to have discussions about what it’s like to learn, live and work in the North! There will also be an opportunity to have a generative conversation about what the North needs and what matters to you - you can help to shape what we do as we move into our future here.

At NOSM University, we want to support your success as a clinician in our region and we look forward to welcoming you as future clinicians, community members and faculty!
