Thinking small about a big problem: Proton homeostasis in cellular aging
Short CV : Prior to joining Calico, Dr Gottschling was a full member of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center from 1996 to 2015, as well as an affiliate professor in the department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine from 2001 to 2015. Earlier in his career, Dr Gottschling was an assistant and then associate professor at the University of Chicago. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Augustana College, his masters and doctorate degrees in chemistry from the University of Colorado and completed postdoctoral training at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Dr Gottschling has received numerous awards and appointments, including election to the National Academy of Sciences and as a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
