Welcome word 2024

We welcome you to the French-speaking cardiometabolic health training week. This 2024 edition is jointly organized by the Quebec Society of Lipidology, Nutrition and Metabolism (SQLNM), the Cardiometabolic Health, Diabetes and Obesity Research Network (CMDO) of the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS), the MaRoute training platform and the Institute of Nutrition and Functional Foods (INAF). This scientific meeting aims to take stock of the state of knowledge in our fields of research and to highlight the work and expertise in cardiometabolic health of research teams from Quebec and elsewhere.

We are pleased this year to have been able to bring together speakers from Quebec and the international scene to present a rich and diverse program under the theme of “Cardiometabolic health at all stages of life”. We are particularly proud to include oral presentations from XXX students as well as XXX poster presentations. We hope that these high-quality presentations will enrich your interactions, discussions and reflections during this week dedicated to cardiometabolic health research.

The arrival of the pan-Canadian MaRoute training platform supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research adds to our organization's training and knowledge mobilization efforts. As such, following a broad consultation on the needs and expectations of students and young researchers working in research on obesity, diabetes and metabolism, training workshops are offered during the congress in order to contribute to meet these needs.

Welcome !

With the aim of having a strong synergistic impact on the future health of the Quebec population both for the dyslipidemia and cardiometabolic aspects, the management of the SQLNM, under the co-chairmanship of Benoît Arsenault and Marie-Claude Vohl, the management of CMDO and the MaRoute platform, under the direction of André Tchernof, have agreed to jointly hold this congress.

The 2024 Joint Scientific Meeting of the SQLNM and the CMDO Network will be held from February 7 to 9, 2024 at the Chéribourg Hotel, Orford.

Theme : Cardiometabolic health through all stages of life.
