GPCR Retreat 2016

You are invited to the 17th Annual Great Lakes GPCR Retreat that will be held jointly with le Club des Récepteurs à Sept Domaines Transmembranaires du Québec. This year’s meeting will take place on the 13th–15th of October, 2016, at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza River North.

The Scientific Program Committee has organized presentations by an impressive cadre of world-renowned scientists working in diverse areas of GPCR research. The GPCR Retreat provides an environment that encourages the colleagues from around the world to meet and to discuss their research.

Registration and submission of abstracts will begin in May 2016.

The early registrants will take advantage of discounted registration fees and will have the best choice of accommodations. We look forward to welcoming you in Chicago in October 2016.

Our headquarters hotel occupies the top floors of the building, overlooking the Chicago River and downtown (lobby and check-in are on the 15th floor). In addition to offering some of the best views in the city, this vibrant River North location provides easy access to restaurants, nightlife, and all the city has to offer. Among the hotel’s full range of amenities are complimentary WiFi, onsite restaurant, lounge, fitness center, and indoor swimming pool.

Reservation, Room Guarantee/Cancellation Procedures, Room Rate: $219.00 (for occupancy of up to four)
A block of rooms has been reserved for retreat participants at $219/night, plus prevailing taxes (currently 17.4%). This rate is valid for occupancy of up to four guests per room. The official room block includes a few rooms for early arrivals (beginning Tuesday, October 11) and late departures (through Sunday, October 17), with peak nights from Thursday through Friday, October 13-14, 2016.

The cutoff date to make reservations is Monday, September 12, 2016.

After this date, any rooms that have not been reserved will be released for general sale.

Phone reservations: Call the hotel directly at 312-836-5000 (between 7 AM. and 5 PM, CST). To ensure our group rate, be sure to indicate that you are with “Great Lakes GPCR Retreat” or provide our Group Booking Code: EG3.

Guests are responsible for making their own reservations and guaranteeing them with credit card or first night’s reservation fee. Canceling your reservation before 6:00 PM (local hotel time) on the day before scheduled arrival, will result in no charge. Canceling after 6:00 PM (local hotel time) on the day before arrival, or failing to show, will result in a charge of 1 night per room reserved. Taxes may apply. Failing to call or show before check-out time after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation.

General Information
Check-in time is after 3:00 PM. Check-out time is prior to 12:00 noon. Credit cards accepted by the hotel include American Express, Carte Blanche, Visa, Optima, Diners Club, MasterCard, JCB Card, and Discover.

Hotel Parking
A special, discounted parking rate has been secured for conference attendees of $30/day and includes in-out privileges until 3:00 PM on the day of checkout. A $20/day rate is available for commuters (no in-out privileges). Parking tickets must be presented at the hotel front desk to confirm these rates. Overnight guests will be able to use room key for in-out access, once parking is assigned to room account.
