Language of presentations: The Symposium Organizing Committee encourages speakers to present in one official language and to provide the visual support in the other official language, in order to facilitate the understanding of all attendees, including unilingual French and unilingual English.

TYPES OF PRESENTATIONS

Important note: to submit an abstract, you must first register and then use the same email address to submit an abstract.

Long presentations (12 minutes)

  • 12 minute oral presentation (including questions).
  • If we receive too many requests for long presentations, priority will be given to labs that did not present in 2022. In addition, MSc and PhD students must be in their second year to be eligible to present (unless it is a joint lab presentation).
  • Confirmations for accepted long presentations will be sent on February 5, 2024.

Short presentations (180 seconds)

  • 180 second oral presentation.
  • Confirmations for accepted short presentations (180 seconds) will be sent on February 5, 2024.

Best short presentations (180 seconds): prizes of $100 will be awarded to GRIL MSc and PhD members who indicate they want to be evaluated when they register.

Abstract submission deadline: January 26, 2024

Speedtalks (60 seconds) + poster presentations

  • 60 second oral presentation to encourage the audience to come to see your poster.
  • Maximum size of your poster 122 cm x 122 cm (4'x4').
  • Confirmations for accepted speedtalks will be sent on February 5, 2024.

Abstract submission deadline: January 26, 2024

Poster presentations

Maximum size of your poster: 122 cm x 122 cm (4'x4').

Best Posters : prizes of $100 will be awarded to GRIL MSc and PhD members who indicate they want to be evaluated when they register.

SYMPOSIUM REGISTRATION


Registration fees for members

Registration for the symposium includes coffee breaks, breakfasts and lunches on March 14 and 15 as well as dinner on March 14. When registering, please indicate the days corresponding to your presence so as not to incur unnecessary costs:

  • Regular members: free
  • Collaborating student members: $120
  • Collaborating researcher members: $150
