Summer School on Genome Stability 2025 Montpellier

Welcome to the International Summer School on Genome Stability

We are delighted to welcome you to Genopolys in Montpellier from July 15th to 19th, 2025.

This Summer school is designed to provide students and postdocs with up-to-date knowledge in the field of Genome Stability.

This will be provided from July 15th to 17th through lectures by ten experts in the field, oral presentations by participants as well as round table discussions. Emphasis will be on promoting interactions and discussions between participants and experts. July 18th will be a symposium day, similar to an international conference, with short presentations from the invited speakers and poster presentations by the participants. On the morning of July 19th, there will be direct interactions between participants and research teams in Genome Stability from IGH (https://www.igh.cnrs.fr/en/) and IGMM (https://www.igmm.cnrs.fr/en/), two research institutes in Montpellier.

Invited speakers

Yasukazu Daigaku
Cancer Institute of Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research (Tokyo, Japan)

Mariko Sasaki
National Institute of Genetics (Mishima, Japan)

Hiroyuki Sasanuma
Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science (Tokyo, Japan)

Akira Shinohara

The field of Genome Stability is rapidly growing, with constant novel insights in both molecular strategies to cope with DNA damage. Understanding these fundamental processes is key to be able to find therapies for diseases such as cancer. The experts will document and explain various aspects of Genome stability, including DNA replication, DNA repair and recombination pathways that are used in somatic cells, gametes, and during meiosis, in unicellular and multicellular organisms.
