The International Sociology of Sport Association (ISSA) is celebrating its 60th anniversary with the theme, “60 Years of the Sociology of Sport: Past, Present, and Future Trajectories”. This Congress will provide a valuable opportunity to reflect on the field's development, address current challenges, and explore its future direction.

Scholars will discuss the institutionalization of the discipline, key figures and theories, and the impact of societal changes such as globalization, commercialization, and technology on sports.
