Fourth International Workshop on FRP Bars for Concrete Structures (IW-FRPCS4)

Welcome

The organizing committee is happy to welcome you to our new event website! Here you will find more information about the objectives of the event, the speakers and the schedule. Please see our technical program.

Goal of the Workshop

Defining a path to broadly implement FRP bars for safe, economical and resilient concrete structures. Non-corrosive FRP rebars are an effective alternative to steel-reinforced concrete structures, with a potential broad market of applications. Hybrid FRP-metallic reinforcing is an emerging solution for ensuring seismic ductility and recovery. This workshop* is geared for stakeholders involved in concret construction, including owners, manufacturers, installers, distributors, engineers, architects, and provinces, state, and city/local officials. The workshop aims to define a path to more fully implement FRP bar and hybrid solutions for concrete structures.

We look forward seeing you in Toronto!

Why sponsor the IW-FRPCS4?

Sponsorship represents one of the most effective methods to position your organization as an industry leader and underscore your dedication to advancing and sharing knowledge. The workshop offers a platform for attendees to learn, connect, and share with their peers. As we focus on the essential role that FRP bar and hybrid solution plays in concrete structures, share with your colleagues the topics, and work you care deeply about. We anticipate the attendance of new colleagues from concrete construction, including owners, manufacturers, installers, distributors, engineers, architects, and province, state, and city/local officials. Their eagerness to learn about advances in FRP bar for concrete reinforcements is overwhelming and this is where Sponsors can make a significant impact. As in the past, the success of this event has largely been due to the contributions of our SPONSORS who have provided vital financial support.

We hope you will consider joining us to share your services, to educate our attendees about what you can offer them to support them in their work. As a Sponsor, you are directly contributing to the advancement of education in concrete structures reinforced with FRP bar and hybrid solutions.

PLEASE, refer to the SPONSORSHIP section for more information.

*In addition to screen recording of the workshop, scribes will be present at each session to record issues of concern, agreements and needs raised by attendees for advancing the safe and economical deployment of FRP reinforced concrete. These notes will be summarized in preparation of a whitepaper similar to the 3rd IW-FRPCS. The whitepaper is expected to be completed by October 31st for distribution to the attendees of the workshop and voluntary action plan precedingthe 5th International Workshop in 2026.
