It is time to come together to present our work, connect our strengths and our knowledge, solidify our network and recognize our efforts, our perseverance and our exemplary work over the past few years.

A well-deserved break for all our members

Take advantage of these two full days to take a break and participate in this great meeting. We would like to thank you for your involvement and your work by offering you sharing moments with the many presentation sessions, networking around coffee breaks, lunches and cocktails and recognition with many awards given.

So, whathever your position at the research center, take a moment, book these days and participate in large numbers in the proposed activities.

A hybrid, eco-friendly event

* Please note that this information may change depending on the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

All activities will take place at Laval University's Vandry Hall. The number of participants on site could be limited. However, it will be possible to attend the presentation sessions online. Only 100 posters can be presented on site, the others will be available only on the JDLR2022 website. All the abstracts submitted and the complete program will be available on this website from May 23rd.

Parking: eco-friendly transportations have to be preferred. If you need parking, you will receive a coupon upon your arrival (to be requested when registering).

Meals: Lunches and cocktails at the end of the day will be provided to those present on site upon registration only. Please, mention your attendance at meals in your registration form no later than May 8, 11:30 PM. To limit waste, unused meal coupons will be loaded to your axis/service. It is possible to modify your registration form at any time before the deadline. See how to access and edit my forms.

Drinks: Coffee, tea and water fountains (to be validated according to COVID measures) will be available. Bring your reusable cup!

Deadline to submit your abstract: April 3, 11:30 PM.

Registration: from April 1st to May 8, 11:30 PM

Dealine to upload a poster or other presentation document: May 22, 11:30 PM


Present your work or service

Graduate students, medical students enrolled in a research program, postdoctoral and clinical fellows and research employees (personnel involved in carrying out a research project or working on a scientific platform) are invited to submit an abstract. of their project or service. Each person can only submit one abstract.

Depending on your status, several types of submissions are possible. For more details and guidelines, see Call for Abstract - Instructions

All abstracts will be evaluated by a scientific committee. A maximum of 64 oral presentations, 64 mini-presentations and 100 poster presentations will be selected. Speakers will be notified in early May.

Many prizes will be awarded among the presenters including a specific prize for postdoctoral fellows/fellows, presentation prizes for students. Graduate studies and awards for research professionals, awarded jointly by the FPPU and CSQ trade union organizations. For full details and guidelines, see the Call for Abstracts page.

Awards will be presented after the closing session on May 26 PM. See the preliminary program.


Soirée des Découvertes – Recognition of research stakeholders

On May 25, 2022, starting at 6:30 p.m., all members of the research centre are invited to the Théâtre de la Cité Universitaire (Palasis-Prince Pavilion) to attend the presentation of the Découverte Awards and the recognition of employees. e.s having accumulated 25 years of service.

The number of places is limited. Please mention your desire to participate in the Soirée des Découvertes in your registration form.

    Dr Alexis Turgeon

    Axe Santé des populations et pratiques opimales en santé

    Dr Alexis Turgeon est professeur titulaire et Directeur de la recherche au Département d’Anesthésiologie et de Soins Intensifs ainsi qu’à la Division des soins intensifs, à la faculté de médecine de l’Université Laval. Il est médecin spécialiste en soins intensifs et anesthésiologiste au CHU de Québec-Université Laval (Hôpital de l’Enfant Jésus). Détenteur de la Chaire de Recherche du Canada en Soins Intensifs Neurologiques et Traumatologie (www.criticalcare-neurotrauma.ca), ses programmes de recherche portent sur la détermination du pronostic neurologique suivant un traumatisme craniocérébral (Étude TBI-Prognosis) et sur la compréhension des décisions portant sur les niveaux de soins chez les patients neurocritiques (TBI-QualE). Il dirige également un ambitieux programme de recherche portant sur l’oxygénation cérébrale et l’utilisation de produits sanguins chez les victimes de traumatismes craniocérébral modérés et graves (Étude HEMOTION), un vaste essai clinique multicentrique international en cours dans quatre pays, ainsi que sur le monitoring de l’oxygénation cérébrale dans cette même population (Étude NeurO2). En tant que médecin spécialiste en soins intensifs, Dr Turgeon a été un chef de file à Québec dans la lutte contre la COVID-19, notamment en menant de front plusieurs essais cliniques pour le traitement des patients gravement malades de la COVID-19 hospitalisés à l’unité des soins intensifs. Fort de son expertise en science de la donnée, méthodologie d’essais cliniques, synthèse des connaissances et méta-analyses, il obtient une subvention de la Fondation canadienne pour l’innovation (FCI) lui permettant de créer SCIENTA, le Centre de valorisation et d’exploitation de la donnée du CHU qu’il co-dirige. Dr Turgeon est le directeur de Cochrane Canada Francophone et co-directeur du Consortium canadien de recherche en traumatisme craniocérébral (CTRC).
