Conference from Caroline Viger

Caroline Viger, Professor, John Abbott College

Title (in French): Les métiers de l’enseignement collégial : plus variés que vous ne le croyez

What does a CEGEP teacher do? This conference will focus on the many facets of the teaching profession at the college level: teaching, of course, but also research in pedagogy, technology transfer center, department management, program development and more...

Biography: Caroline Viger completed a Master's degree in Applied Sciences at COPL in Sophie Larochelle's laboratory in 2004. While waiting for her thesis to be corrected, she enrolled in the College Teaching Certificate, which led her to teach physics at CEGEP. Throughout her career, she has been involved in numerous research projects in physics education, has been a department coordinator and has participated in the development of the pre-university program in Natural Sciences. She is now in charge of implementing this new program at John Abbott College.
